It’s 97 degrees, your 10-year-old window AC unit is hanging on by a thread, Mister Softee melts in your hand before it reaches your mouth for the first bite, the fire hydrants are blasting water into the streets, we’ve reached the boiling point – but it’s not just the temp. He-said-she-said’s are at record highs. Vulgarities are hurling across the living room like the battle of Helm’s Deep. She knows where you were. You know where you shouldn’t have been. There’s barely room for air between words when you’re seeing red.
Things are not good.

Simmer is a tale as old as time. You got caught with your pants down and you’re trying to claw your way back. It’s a song about being “in the dog house” if you will. A modern take on Shaggy’s “It Wasn’t Me” (everyone knows it was you – we have the receipts).
Have at it, beat the heat.
